General meeting: May 8, 2021
The AAUW LC program on May 8th at 9:30 am will
be presented by Molly Jambor, Advocate Coordinator, La Pinon.
In addition to the delightful program presented below, we will also elect officers and accept the budget for 2021-2022. For this, we need a quorum, so please plan to attend this important meeting.
La Piñon is an NM not-for-profit organization providing 29 years of service to Doña Ana County and the surrounding southern New Mexico region. The organization provides help to victims of sexual assault and child abuse. A crisis line, victim advocacy, human trafficking advocacy, legal advocacy, a Children’s Advocacy Center, and prevention education are some of the services La Piñon offers.
Molly Jambor, Advocate Coordinator, will present information on La Piñon at our May 8th meeting. Ms. Jambor is a South Dakota native. She integrated into the Southern New Mexico community in 2018. She has her Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Sociology with an emphasis in Community Service and Criminal Justice from Black Hills State University. At La Piñon she advocates for victims of sexual assault and crimes against children. Ms. Jambor also coordinates the Volunteer Advocacy Program and teaches a bi-annual 40-hour training to new staff, interns and volunteers.
Mark your calendars. Zoom in. Learn something about this too often misunderstood and/or neglected segment of our community.
