Monthly Program

AAUW Las Cruces hosts Monthly Meetings with varying programs of interest to all ages!  Each program is carefully planned and always quite interesting.

ALL are welcome, regardless of AAUW membership status.

Meetings are held the second Saturday, September through June at the DACC Workforce Center, 2345 Nevada Ave. The program begins at 10:00 am preceded by a “social time” from 9:30 – 10:00 am.

Please mark your calendars now so that you will be able to attend our General Meetings, which are held on the second Saturday of the month at the DACC Workforce Center. We start with socializing from 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. During this time, you can visit with all members, catch up with returning members, and introduce yourself to newcomers. Our program starts at 10:00 a.m. We will introduce our featured presenter, who will speak for 30 – 40 minutes.

HAPPY 102 YEARS OF AAUW – LC!

This year promises to be another year of interesting, informative and entertaining programs and speakers.

Our program for the September 13th meeting will be a presentation by the Interest Group leaders and information on “Period Poverty”.

We are fortunate to have seven Interest Groups in our chapter: Anything Goes Book Club, Anything Goes Fiction Book Club, Bridge, Chinese Mahjong, Great Decisions and Going Places. Anne Chase, Carol Ann Council, Rita Worrell, Susan Hychka and Michele Rasch will be informing and inviting us to join their Interest Group. Laura Bemis will speak to us about “Period Poverty”, a project that supports college women via NMSU Aggie Cupboard and DACC Comfort Casita.

We look forward to meeting and seeing new and returning members. We welcome guests
