AAUW Scholarship Endowment for Women
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Scholarship Endowment for Women was established in 2003 to make an annual award to a student who resides in Dona Ana County and maintains a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
Rio Grande Preparatory Institute (RGPI) Award Program
AAUW-Las Cruces has made a commitment to award funds to young women who are graduating from high school and who commit to attend a four-year college. In the past few years, $4,000 in awards have been given. Thanks, largely, to funds raised during annual fundraising events. An many thanks to our members, and the ongoing contributions, these awards have already made a big difference in the lives of many recipients.
We support the mission of our national parent organization, the American Association of University Women, which advances equity for women and girls through philanthropy, education, research and advocacy. Each year the Las Cruces branch contributes to AAUW Funds for the support of the organization and its excellent programs. Many branch members also contribute to both AAUW Funds and to local fundraisers to support the branch’s local scholarships and educational programs.
